모르고 마셔도 이거 달모어인가? 싶은 정말 달모어스러운 특유의 건과류스러움과 오크향, 그리고 적당한 무게감과 길게뽑히는 피니쉬. 맛있다요! 게다가 병도 고오급지고! 이제 한잔 남았네😭 언제 또 보틀로 구매할지는 모르겠지만 그동안 신세 많이졌습니다. 잘묵었습니다!

Even if you drank it blind you'd go "is this Dalmore?" — that really Dalmore-ish signature dried fruit-and-nut character and oak, plus moderate weight and a long, drawn-out finish. Delicious! And the bottle is fancy too! Only one glass left now😭 Not sure when I'll buy a bottle again, but thanks for everything all this time. Enjoyed it!
그냥 코만봐도 저사람은 분명 저런거 만들려고 태어난 사람이라고 생각드는 리차드 패터슨 마스터가 이끄는 달모어.
달모어는 정말 달모어 특유의 향과 맛이 있는데, 개인적으로 표현하기로는 약간 젖은 오크통 안쪽을 핥아먹으면 그런맛이
날거 같은, 그 특유의 나무스러움과 건과류 그리고 촉촉한 초코칩보다 좀 더 젖은 축축한 초코칩쯤 되는 느낌의 그 오묘한
맛과 향이 거의 모든 제품에서 느껴진다.(여기서 말하는 거의 모든 제품이란12년, 12년 셰리, 15년, 시가몰트, 18년까지
를 말하고 그이상은 내겐 넘모 비싸서 나도 잘 몰?루??)
그래서 달모어는 코어레인지 제품들을 주욱 놔두고 마셔보면 마치 한 인간의 성장기를 보는 느낌이 든다.
분명 비슷한 모습이지만 숙성년수가 길어질수록 깊이가 달라지고 해주고 싶은 이야기가 많은듯하다.
그런 시선으로 본다면, 달모어 15년은 음...20대 후반 정도가 아닐까싶다.
마냥 어리지만 않은, 그렇다고 어릴때 생각해오던 ‘어른’이 되었다기엔 미숙한 그런 시기.
어린티는 벗어 났지만 깊은맛이 부족하다. 하지만 다른 증류소들의 비슷한 숙성년수 제품들에 비해 뒤쳐짐은 없다.(하지
만 도수는 늘 아쉽?) 오히려 달모어만 갖고 있는 그 특유의 맛과 향이 좀더 구체화 되어있다.
그래서 꼭 최애가 되진 않더라도 한번쯤은 경험해봤으면 한다.
음 그리고 꼭 맛과 향이 아니더라도 일단 병이 개멋지당!?? 사슴마크보면 그냥 사고 싶어진닼!!??
자주 사먹지는 않지만 가끔씩 생각나는 달모어~

DALMORE 15years
Dalmore, led by master blender Richard Paterson — one look at his nose alone and you think this man was definitely born to make stuff like this.
Dalmore really has its own signature aroma and taste. My personal way of describing it: that distinctive woodiness you'd imagine tasting if you licked the inside of a slightly wet oak cask, plus dried fruit and nuts, and something like a chocolate chip that's even wetter and soggier than a moist chocolate chip — that subtle, curious taste and aroma comes through in almost all of their products. (By "almost all of their products" I mean the 12, 12 Sherry, 15, Cigar Malt and up to the 18 — anything above that is waaay too expensive for me, so I dunno??)
So if you line up Dalmore's core range and drink your way through it, it feels like watching one person grow up.
They clearly look alike, but as the age goes up the depth changes, and they seem to have more stories to tell.
Seen that way, Dalmore 15 is, hmm... maybe late twenties?
Not just a kid anymore, but still too green to say you've become the "grown-up" you imagined as a child — that kind of stage.
It's shed its youthfulness but lacks depth. Still, it doesn't fall behind similarly aged products from other distilleries. (Though the ABV is always a bit of a letdown?) If anything, that signature Dalmore taste and aroma is more clearly defined.
So even if it doesn't become your favorite, I hope you try it at least once.
Oh, and even setting aside taste and aroma, the bottle is freaking cool!?? One look at that stag emblem and you just want to buy it!!??
I don't buy it often, but Dalmore pops into my head every now and then~
Next time it comes to mind, I'll bring home another bottle~ Bye~
