며칠전에 다녀온 도쿄에서 업어온 두병 중 한병2.
블라드녹 19년 PX 2023 릴리즈.

구매리스트 중 한병이였던 시바스리갈 18년 미즈나라 캐스크 피니쉬를 가장 저렴하게 팔던 리쿼샵에서 벌거벗은 채로 나를 유혹하는 네모 각진병이 눈에 들어왔다

블라드녹 병이 워낙 네모지고 예쁜 형태라 금방 알아볼 수 있었고,
그동안 로우랜드 위스키라고는 그놈의 또켄토션 뿐이였어서 마음 한켠에 늘 궁금했던 증류소였다.

그 와중에 가격이 면세적용해서 3만엔(당시 환율 적용 시 약 27만원)이라 꽤 합리적이라 판단하고
”아..아노 아레쿠다사이!“ 외치고 시바스리갈과 함께 구매해서 한국으로 복귀했다.

헐벗고 있는게 안쓰러워서 가지고 있는 빈 케이스중에 유일하게 들어가는 글렌기어리 케이스에 우선 보관중이다.

일단 사놓고 오픈못하고 있는 위스키들이 좀 밀려있어서 언제 딸지는 또 모르겠지만 조만간 마셔보고 닉세비지 행님을 맥캘란 전 마스터 디스틸러라고 부를지 현 블라드녹 마스터 디스틸러라고 부를지 결정해야겠다.

One of the two bottles I scooped up in Tokyo a few days ago, part 2.
Bladnoch 19 PX, 2023 release.

At the liquor shop selling Chivas Regal 18 Mizunara Cask Finish - one of the bottles on my shopping list - for the cheapest price, a square, angular bottle standing there stark naked caught my eye and tempted me.

Bladnoch's bottle is such a square and pretty shape that I recognized it right away,
and since my only Lowland whisky so far had been that darn Auchentoshan, it was a distillery I'd always been curious about in a corner of my heart.

On top of that, the price with tax-free applied was 30,000 yen (about 270,000 won at the exchange rate back then), which I judged pretty reasonable, so
I shouted "A... ano, are kudasai!" ("Um, that one please!"), bought it along with the Chivas Regal, and headed back to Korea.

I felt sorry for it being naked, so for now it's living in a Glen Garioch case, the only one of my spare empty cases it fits into.

I've got a bit of a backlog of whiskies I've bought but haven't opened yet, so who knows when I'll crack this one, but I'll drink it soon and decide whether to call big bro Nick Savage "former Macallan master distiller" or "current Bladnoch master distiller."
