글렌알라키 15년

개인적인 생각으로 알라키가 지금의 인기를 얻게 해준 일등공신이 아닐까 싶은 15년 코어레인지 제품.
비슷한 숙성년수들의 다른 증류소들에 비해 아주 약간 더 저렴한 편에 속하지만 맛과 향이 주는 만족감은 그들 위에 있다고 봐도 될 정도의 아주 잘만든 15년 숙성의 강자. 라고 생각함😋
(근데 이거 2~3년전에는 10만원 초반이였는데...😭😭)

알라키 증류소가 가지고 있는 특유의 찐득한 셰리와 다크초콜릿 캐릭터가 향에서부터 진하게 느껴지며 맛으로도 쭈욱 이어짐. 피니쉬가 엄청 딥하고 길진 않지만 이 포지션에 이정도면 훌륭한 평가를 해줄수 있다.
이제 막잔이라 에어레이션이 많이 되서 그런지 찌르는 향은 없고 그렇다고 힘이 빠진 느낌도 아니고 그냥마냥 맛있게 익어버렸다ㅎㅎ

이제 3병째 비우는 거지만 또 구매할 의향이 있고 이미 추가 주문해서 기다리는중😁

Personally, I think this 15 Year core-range bottling might be the MVP behind GlenAllachie's current popularity.
It's a little cheaper than other distilleries' bottlings of similar age, yet the satisfaction its taste and aroma deliver arguably puts it above them. A really well-made heavyweight of a 15-year-old. Or so I think 😋
(But this used to be in the low 100,000 won range just 2-3 years ago... 😭😭)

GlenAllachie's signature sticky sherry and dark chocolate character comes through richly right from the nose and carries all the way through on the palate. The finish isn't hugely deep or long, but for something in this position, this level deserves great marks.
Since this is the last dram, maybe because it's had plenty of aeration, there's no prickly nose, but it doesn't feel like it's lost its strength either. It's just ripened into something simply delicious haha

This is only the third bottle I've emptied, but I'd buy it again, and I've actually already ordered another one and I'm waiting for it 😁

Enjoyed it this time, and I'll enjoy it next time too.
