스프링뱅크 15년

매번 느끼지만 밸런스가 참 좋다.
노즈에서 느껴지는 오크향과 다크초콜릿 그리고 아주 약한 빵의 기운.
팔렛은 초반엔 복숭아나 무화과 같은 달달한 과일이 주를 이루나 맛의 끝쪽에선 오히려 건과류 느낌이 강해진다.

피니쉬도 오크향과 향긋한 셰리, 캠밸타운식의 피트감으로 은은하지만 꽤 길게 가져가는편.

고숙성년수들에 공통적으로 느껴지는 바디감과 리치함은 당연 부족하지만 15년 숙성년수 들 중에선 압도적 발군이다.

다만, 가격이 선을 넘는다는것이 현재로써 큰 단점.
생산량의 부족에서 오는 인상 분도 있겠지만,

글쎄...이게 현재 시중에 판매되는 비슷한 가격대의 다른 증류소의 위스키들에 비해 만족감이 드는지는 잘 모르겠다.

I feel it every time, but the balance is really good.
On the nose: oak, dark chocolate, and a very faint hint of bread.
The palate is led early on by sweet fruits like peach or fig, but toward the end the dried fruit and nut character actually gets stronger.

The finish carries oak, fragrant sherry and Campbeltown-style peat — subtle but fairly long.

Naturally it lacks the body and richness you commonly find in older whiskies, but among 15-year-olds it's overwhelmingly outstanding.

However, the price crossing the line is a big downside right now.
Some of that markup probably comes from limited production, but

well... I'm not sure it's more satisfying than whiskies from other distilleries currently sold at similar prices.

It's so tasty, but so hard to get, which annoys me😤
