아벨라워 아부나흐 배치 84

오랜만에 다시 만난 아벨라워 아부나흐.

몇년전에 70번대 초반 배치들 몇 병 사 마신 이후로, 한동안 안들이다가 오랜만에 봤더니 지관통과 보틀 라벨 디자인이 변경되있길래 혹해서 한병 들였다.
아마 80번대부터 바뀐듯 싶다.
내가 들인 배치는 84번.

근데 이게 맛이 꽤 좋다.
80번대 들어서 달라진건지, 리뉴얼하면서 맛에도 의도적으로 변화를 준건진 모르겠지만,
살짝 찌르는 부즈를 걷어내면 끈적하게 뿜어지는 셰리와 약한 시트러스.
팔렛은 의외로 매운맛이 없고 입에 착붙는다 싶다가 뒤에서 명불허전 강한 타격감이 느껴지고, 역시 세리와 초콜렛이 뿜뿜~옛다 한번 더 쓴다 뿜!
덕분에 입이랑 코가 그냥 달달허다 달달혀🤩🤩

70번대와 비교하면 라이트한 과실향은 줄어들고 끈적끈적 건과일의 느낌이 짙어짐.
피니쉬도 묵직허고 길게 남는 편.😛

60도 넘는 CS는 간만이라 타격감에 살짝 어질어질 했지만, 이 가격에 이정도 퍼포먼스면 무조건 한병 더 사먹어야겠다 마음 먹음.
데일리로 한잔씩 마시다 보니 금방 비워져 가는데, 80번대 다른 배치도 들여서 시음해볼 예정.

역시 아부나흐는 가성비 최고! 아부나흐 만쉐이!😆😆

Aberlour A'bunadh, reunited after a long time.

After buying and drinking a few bottles from the early 70s batches several years ago, I stopped bringing it home for a while. When I saw it again after all that time, the tube and the label design had changed, so I got tempted and picked one up.
Looks like the change happened from the 80s batches on.
The batch I got is 84.

And it tastes pretty darn good.
I don't know if it's changed since the 80s batches, or if they deliberately tweaked the flavor along with the redesign, but
once you brush past the slightly prickly booze, sticky sherry comes gushing out along with a light citrus.
The palate is surprisingly not hot at all and clings nicely to the mouth, and then, true to its reputation, a strong punch hits from behind, and sherry and chocolate come bursting out - boom~ here, I'll use it one more time - BOOM!
Thanks to that, my mouth and nose are just sweet, so so sweet🤩🤩

Compared to the 70s batches, the light fruity notes are toned down and the sticky dried fruit character runs deeper.
The finish is also weighty and lingers long.😛

It's been a while since I had a CS over 60%, so the punch made me a little woozy, but with this kind of performance at this price, I made up my mind that I absolutely have to buy another bottle.
I've been having a glass a day, so it's emptying fast, and I'm planning to bring in other 80s batches to taste as well.

A'bunadh really is the king of value for money! Hooray for A'bunadh!😆😆
